Children’s and Youth Ministries

It’s all about growing:  going deeper and wider as children, youth, and their families grow in faith, are anchored in the Word, and develop a lifelong relationship with God and their faith community.

St. Philip’s is a place for families, for children and youth.  Come and experience the warmth and support of the St. Philip’s family as we grow in faith together.  We are going deeper and going wider as we explore and experience, as we grow roots and spread our wings.

Children’s Program:

NEW IN 2023:  for kids and adults... we are introducing a monthly program:  Messy Church @ St Philip's.  Join us the last Saturday of the month @ 4pm.  Find information here:  Messy Church

During COVID while we couldn't meet in-person, our children's ministry went digital with the introduction of videos made for kids:  The Bible Bunch.  All episodes and their activities are still available.  Email us if you've lost the link to the private page. (To protect the children, this page is not public.)

Youth:

SPY (St. Philip’s Youth) is fun, faith, and friends and don’t forget a little food to fuel our engines. If we’re not eating it, we’re preparing it for others:  sandwiches for Out of the Cold, pancakes for Shrove Tuesday, or Gingerbread Houses for auction.  To go deeper, SPY develop their faith and spirituality in a supportive community of peers and adults.  To go wider, we participate in the life, mission, and work of our larger St. Philip’s family and serve out in the city.  And through all this, we discover new friendships, especially when we are away for a weekend on retreat or at a youth gathering with other youth from across Canada.

Family:

St. Philip’s supports parents in their critical role of faith formation and spiritual development for their children.  We are a place for families.  We host intergenerational events to welcome everyone.  New in 2023, these intergenerational events will be held monthly through the introduction of Messy Church.  Find more information here:  Messy Church @ St Philip's.
